Question Two
When creating my ancillary
products I wanted to make sure that I included links between them and my music
video. I did this so that it would create an identity for the album/band and to
make sure that the subjects trying to portray can be easily seen from the
audience’s perspective. The main links between the two include the idea of
seduction, partying and control over people. Just like my music video, my Digi Pak
and poster will show a story of how partying developed into seduction and the
effects of it the morning after. I wanted to show this as it matches the music
videos theme; it matches my genres conventions almost perfectly and finally/ultimately
I believe that it would be an interesting theme to see as a Digi pack. If
pulled of well this will express many different occurrences and expectations
that are associated within the genre and music as a whole. By having these
expectations included, people will be able to recognise the style automatically
and therefore will be able to tell if they are interested or not. By including themes
such as sex and partying, it also will appeal to a wider audience as these are
element that can be found in many different genres. How ether I believe that
the biggest selling point to this design would defiantly be its non-liner story
line. By including this the audience will be shown everything they need to know
about the album as the story covers all aspects and themes included. After
seeing this once the audience should have a very good idea on what to expect
and where it is something they are interested in or not.
